Admission For B.Ed Course

Admission for B.Ed Course

Admission to self-financed B.Ed. Colleges will be done centrally by the WBUTTEPA through on-line mode only.

Duration 1.       Two academic sessions, which can be completed in a maximum of three years
from the date of admission to the programme.
 

 

 

 

 

Eligibility

1.       Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized university.

2.       Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (General) / or in the Master’s Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.

3.       Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master’s Degree row.

4.       Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor’s degree (Honours).

5.       In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor’s degree (General).

6.       For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.

7.       For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on scoring.

8.       For Deputed Candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on length of service.

 

 

 

Reservation

1.        20% of the seats (for self-financed colleges) will be reserved for Deputed teachers of classes IX-XII. Deputed teachers mean the teachers serving as substantive posts.

2.Seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. Rules. Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks will be as per Govt. rules. The Reservation as stated is not applicable for Self-Financed Colleges.

Intake Capacity One basic units 50 (Fifty) fresher candidate.
Fee Structures 1.Admission fees for B.Ed. Programme (2 years) in the private/self-financing colleges shall continue to be Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. Seventy five thousand) per annum per student, inclusive of Development fees, & a ‘Refundable Caution Money’ of Rs. 5,000/- (five thousand) only.

2.Hostel charges, where applicable, & University Examination Fees may be realized separately.

Attendance At least 75% attendance, fail to attend they will be treated cancellation of his/her admission.
Working Days & Time 1. 200 working days for classes.
2. 40 days for practice teaching.
3. Timing 10.40 A.M. to 4.45 P.M.

Admission For D.El.Ed Course

Prospectus & Application Forms are available from the College Office (D.EL.ED. Section).
Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained at the H.S. or its equivalent examination.

Duration 1.          Two academic sessions, which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
Eligibility 1.          Should pass the H.S. (+2) Examination from any recognized Board/Council/University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. 5% marks relaxation for the applicants who belongs to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman categories.

2.          Should not be above 35 years of age as on 01/07/2017. 5% marks relaxation for the applicants who belongs to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.

3.          Must have studied the language at the H.S. level as a compulsory subject for which medium of instruction.

Reservation 1.          10% seats of the total intake (for self-financed colleges) will be reserved for ‘Management Quota’

2.          Seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. Rules. Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks will be as per Govt. rules.

3.          4% (i.e. 2 out of fifty ) of the seats shall be earmarked for applicants coming from the Vocational Stream Course (+2 level ) under recognized Board/Council/University.

Intake Capacity 1.    One basic units 50(Fifty) fresher candidate.
Fee Structures 1.          The course fee and admission fee set by the WBBPE/ Govt. of West Bengal.

2.          Hostel charges, where applicable, & Examination Fees may be realized separately.

Working Days & Time: 1.          200 working days for classes.

2.          40 days for practice teaching.
